IDeas for Families

Make the most of being on holiday and slow things down – lazy morning lie-ins, leisurely breakfast followed by a gentle stroll down into Chipping Campden.

Peruse the many individual shops, galleries, museum and tearooms.

Pick up a map at the Tourist Information office in the High Street and set off on foot around the town, along the cross-country footpaths, up to Dovers Hill or even as far as Broadway Tower!

If you want to explore the further area but don’t want to drive, how about booking a tourwith one of the local companies and let the guides share their knowledge of the Cotswolds.

follow a dinosaur trail and enjoy the brilliant outdoor and indoor play area (great if the weather is looking a bit dodgy).

Head up to Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park, just 20 minutes away and meet the lovely farm animals there, take a tractor safari, bounce on the giant inflatable pillows and feed the livestock.

Head to Toddington GWSR for a ride in a steam train.

Nip to Stratford-Upon-Avon, only 20 minutes away to play on the river, picnic next to it and explore the historic town, famous for being Shakespeare’s birthplace.

Get plenty of fresh air at Batsford Arboretum, just 15 minutes away. Acres of beautiful trees and plants, an amazing café and right next to Cotswold Falconry Centre.

If you want to stay on site, enjoy messing about in the hammocks, playing with the games on site, book a pizza fest and roast some marshmallows over your campfire.
